251 Architecture Overview

|< back

The 251 architecture is the next generation of the very popular and common 8051 architecture. The main focus is on the increase in system performance using existing 8051 microcontroller code. The 251 is based on a 16-bit CISC core with register-based operation, 8-bit external bus interface and instruction pipeline. More about the 251 architecture.

Hitex supports the 251 architecture with a complete tool chain, providing you with all you need for the professional development of your 251 projects. The main part of this tool chain is the modular DProbe251 emulation concept, providing a solution for all budgets from the entry-level system to the high-end in-circuit emulator.

All currently existing 251 derivatives from Atmel (former Atmel Wireless & Microcontrollers) and Intel (including 151 and 930 derivatives) are supported.
