When you try to open a Compiled Help Module file (.chm file) on a network shared folder, topics in the .chm file do possibly not appear.

This is a Microsoft Windows security feature: Microsoft Compressed HTML Help (CHM) is a proprietary format for online help files. The Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and some Windows security updates include changes to the InfoTech protocol which were introduced to reduce security vulnerabilities in HTML Help.

For detailed information on how to allow opening CHM files within network shared folders, refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896054/EN-US/.

Since this problem can only be solved by modifying the Windows Registry, we strongly recommend to read the following warnings in the article mentioned above: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896054/EN-US/#kb3.
