| RIAS for the 8051 Architecture |
Rias (Real Time
Internal Access
Supervisor) is an outstanding technology
developed by Hitex to detect processor internal properties that are not
visible outside the processor. For this technology special know-how
of the microcontroller's internals is necessary.
Rias gives you the chance to track down hidden bugs within the microcontroller itself. Internal events such as the reading of the SBUF-control register are not mirrored on the external address-data bus and normally emulators are unable to track them. However, by using special logic to detect operations that affect internal resources, and then using the logic as a trigger event, Rias gives the emulator the ability to track such internal events without any violation of real-time operation. There is no need to use a special chip for the emulation.
