DProbeSC and DProbeCR16C RIAS
|< back

Rias (Real Time Internal Access Supervisor) is an outstanding technology developed by Hitex to detect processor internal properties that are not visible outside the processor. For this technology special know-how of the microcontroller's internals is necessary.

The National Semiconductor CR16 microcontroller family is optimized in performance. Prefetch, decoding and code execution are performed in different modules in RIAS for DProbeSCparallel. This leads to prefetched code which will never be executed. DIP cycles occur simultaneously to CR16 cycles.

The Rias technology filters out all the prefetched cycles and brings awareness of additional DIP cycles. This way the emulator reacts properly to the cycles which are related to the tested application. This allows the user to find bugs in the application undisturbed by a misleaded debugging system. This is important especially for a proper operation of trace and trigger units, code coverage resources and derived high-end functionality like performance analysis.
