Tanto is the new modular test and analysis tool from Hitex. Tanto supports various microcontroller architectures and the MPC500 family is one of those.
The basic Tanto MPC5 system consists of the universal Tanto Base module and an MPC-specific Port Link module (TantoPL-MPC5-BDM or TantoPL-MPC5-NEXUS) that allows the direct connection of the test and analysis tool to the JTAG port in the target system. The optional TantoPT module offers enhanced functions for debugging complex systems in real-time. It supports the trace messsages of the NEXUS connector and adds a powerful hardware trace module.
