LPC29xx Motor Control Board
Reference design for rapid motor control development
Hitex as NXP’s Europen Application Design Center has developed the NXP Motor Control Board for LPC29xx.
This reference design is ideally suited for the initial steps in the development of sophisticated motor control applications. Designed to realize brushless DC motor control based on the LPC29xx family this transparent platform provides rapid access to the peripherals. Based on this reference platform the developer can easily define his own specific solution.
The attractively priced board can be connected to a BLDC motor or alternatively a bipolar stepper motor. An outstanding feature is the user interface visualizing effects of parameter changes and thus providing full ability to optimize the motor’s behavior. Besides the hardware, delivery includes schematics and application examples running together with Hitex’s LPC2929 on LPC2939 eval board. All examples include the source code and can be modified without effort. In addition to the electrical commutation the BLDC motor example includes a flexible PID regulator for the control of the motor’s speed or current.
To program the application into the LPC microcontroller and develop / debug it, we recommend a Tantino for ARM7-9 system.
