Hitex Development Tools announces comprehensive support for the newly introduced XMC4000 family from Infineon Technologies, which uses the Cortex™-M4 processor from ARM®.

One Board – All Functions

In addition to the Infineon Hexagon XMC Evaluation Board concept Hitex developed an evaluation board, the “XMC-HiLight” as a supplement to the Hexagon Evaluation Kit with additional features on one board like:

• WLAN / LAN / USB
• Slider
• LED matrix
• RGB LED
• A/D

Compatibility / Extendable

This single board can be tailored to be used as perfect board for trainings and promotion. The board is designed to be hardware compatible to the Infineon Hexagon Evaluation Board concept. So it provides signal interfaces to the Hexagon Satellite HMI – and the Motor Control board. That means software applications designed with DAVE 3 for the Infineon Hexagon Evaluation board can be used with XMC-HiLight.

Debugging

The board comes with all necessary cortex debug interfaces in order to be compatible with all commonly on the market available Debug-Adapters from Keil, Segger, Hitex or others:

• ARM Standard 20-pin Connector (2.54 / 0.10”)
• Cortex Debug and ETM 20-pin Connector (1,27 / 0.05”)
• Cortex Debug 10-pin Connector (1,27 / 0.05”)

Hitex Cortino for XC4000 is compatible to DAVE 3 and can also be used with the HiTOP Debugger GUI.

Rapid Prototyping

Using a defined CPU I/O signal interface via 2.54 connectors it can easily be used in conjunction with an own application board. An additional interface to a an already existing prototyping board for own hardware extensions

There are assembly options available to provide production lots of quantities starting from 250 pcs of the boards tailored for seminars, training and promotion campaigns.
