DProbe Host Interfaces

Different dedicated host interfaces allow for a flexible and high-speed connection:

  • DPHIF-3: HIF interface card for PCI bus.
    The PCI version of the HIF interface plugs into a standard PCI slot of the host computer. The card is automatically configured by the debugger software. It offers the best performance for users of modern PCs.

  • DPHIF-2: HIF interface card for PCMCIA.
    The PCCard version of the HIF interface fits into a Type II PCMCIA slot. The plug&play card is especially useful in combination with notebook computers. This add-on allows the creation of a mobile test environment.

  • DPLPTHIF: HIF interface for LPT port.
    The DPLPTHIF interface provides connectivity between a DProbe / DBox and the parallel port (LPT) of a PC. Due to the slower data transfer rate, this interface is only recommended if it's not possible to use one of the various HIF card types.
