TISAX® stands for Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange. It is a set of information security standards and guidelines developed by the ENX Association and published by the Verband der Automobilindustrie (German Association of the Automotive Industry or VDA) to ensure the protection of sensitive information in the automotive industry supply chain.
TISAX provides a framework for companies to assess their information security management system (ISMS) and to exchange the results of those assessments with their partners in the supply chain. TISAX assessments are conducted by accredited third-party service providers and cover a wide range of security domains, such as access control, incident management, and business continuity.
The main purpose of TISAX is to establish a common security language and standard between automotive industry stakeholders that helps ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information exchanged between partners in the supply chain.
