TantinoXC-MCDS is based on the Hitex Standard JTAG Debug Hardware Platform – Tantino which supports the new Infineon microcontroller architecture XC2000/XE16x.

With this architecture a so called Emulation Device (ED) with integrated MCDS (Multi-Core Debug Solution) is available which provides extended debugging features like:

• Realtime execution and data trace
• Complex filter definitions to control the trace recording
• Complex trigger definitions to control program execution

This information is transferred via the high speed 2 pin access interface DAP (Device Access Port - which operates up 80 MHz) to the Debugging Hardware.
