For automotive applications requiring specific security functionality, Infineon’s AURIX™ 32-bit microcontroller family is a perfect fit with its embedded Hardware Security Module (HSM). Applications requiring security are for example tuning protection, immobilizer or secure on-board communication. Infineon’s AURIX 32-bit microcontroller family offers a wide portfolio of compatible devices with embedded Hardware Security Module (HSM). The Secure Hardware Extension (SHE+) drivers control the hardware security peripheral in the HSM domain. SHE+ offers an interface to the AUTOSAR CRY (Crypto library module) to integrate the HSM security features into an automotive application. This includes the interface to AUTOSAR and communication from HSM and vice versa, key storage, management functionality and security peripheral drivers.
SHE+ can be added to existing MCAL Driver packages and is configured with the Tresos Studio. This is an Eclipse-based tool for the configuration of AUTOSAR software modules.
