Speed-up development and Time-to-market

The Hitex Compute Modules are designed to optimize development processes and significantly shorten time-to-market. They feature all essential functions, including an integrated power supply, a watchdog, and an onboard debugger. Thanks to their standardized interface, the modules can be seamlessly integrated into application-specific carrier boards, offering high flexibility for a wide range of use cases.

The modular architecture enables parallel workflows: while the hardware team develops the SO-DIMM application board, the software team can simultaneously advance the programming of the microcontroller. Integration is particularly efficient, as the modules can be connected directly to each other, eliminating the need for complex firmware transfers between boards.

Whether you are evaluating a new microcontroller, creating a quick prototype or proof-of-concept, or accelerating your product development – the Hitex Compute Modules offer the optimal solution for your requirements.

Support for Validation and Certification

With the Hitex SO-DIMM Compute Modules, you have access to a solution that fully supports all safety-relevant functions of the respective controllers in accordance with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508. The basic requirements for functional safety for a planned end product certification are thus already met by the standard components. This includes both the hardware and the basic drivers provided as sample installations. The Hitex expert team is happy to competently support you throughout the certification process.

Creating sustainable added value

The Hitex SO-DIMM Compute Modules offer substantial added value for demanding applications through their innovative combination of hardware and software. Developed by experienced professionals who have incorporated their extensive expertise from the automotive, industrial, and railway industries into the design, these modules ensure the highest reliability and efficiency. By using the Hitex Compute Modules, the development workload on the customer side is significantly reduced, allowing companies to focus more on their own core competencies within the target application.

General characteristics of SO-DIMM modules

  • Same form factor for several Infineon microcontroller
  • The SO-DIMM incorporates several typical design aspects already:
    • The controller and its passives
    • For AURIXTM for example the PMICs its passives: TLF35585 and for TC3xx and TLF4D985 for TC4xx
    • A debug unit for software development
    • A wide range of I/O features is available at the SO-DIMM connector
    • A harmonized SO-DIMM connector across different architectures
  • Ready for ASIL-B / ASIL-D / SIL-2 / SIL-3 depending on microcontroller
    • ASIL-D / SIL-3 for AURIXTM
    • ASIL-D For upcoming RISC-V Infineon automotive controllers
    • ASIL-B for TRAVEOTM T2G
  • A lot of applications available with Arduino connector
  • All documentation included
  • FMEDA available
  • Designed for productive use and EMV tested

Hitex SO-DIMM boards are available in various configurations for different applications. All boards have the following in common:

Small series production with Hitex SO-DIMM Boards

All Hitex SO-DIMM boards have been designed and tested for production use. This makes them ideal for use in small-volume production and specialized applications where hardware development costs, development time, and project costs account for a significant portion of the total cost.

The advantages:

  • immediate availability of the compute modules
  • no development costs for the microcontroller part of the application
  • reduction of development costs to the digital and analog I/O part
  • reduction of layout and PCB costs as fewer layers are required
  • reduction of testing costs
  • flexibility in the use of the controller depending on performance requirements
