Battery&Power World

Everything you need to know about the development of battery management systems.

Hitex expert Michael Weiß will be giving a presentation at Battery&Power World on the development of battery management systems in compliance with all necessary standards and specifications.

The development of battery management systems (BMS) requires a great deal of development expertise. This includes more than just the standard functions, such as the temperature of the battery, the charge level or the number of charging cycles. Safety aspects also need to be carefully considered, as the implementation of strict safety and security requirements (e.g. ISO 21434) is a prerequisite for certification. For example, battery components in vehicles must achieve a safety integrity level (SIL) up to ASIL D, the highest requirement according to the ISO 26262 standard.
