Infineon's TRAVEO™ microcontroller family (originally developed by Cypress) is based on Arm® Cortex®-R5 cores and TRAVEO II is based on Cortex-M4/M7 cores. The TRAVEO family delivers high performance, enhanced human-machine interfaces, high-security and advanced networking protocols. This microcontroller family is tailored for a broad range of automotive applications such as lighting, automotive instrument clusters and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
The basis for the high performance of TRAVEO microcontrollers are Arm's powerful Cortex R5F and Cortex-M4F/M7F cores. In single or dual core operation the TRAVEO microcontrollers offer state-of-the-art real time performance and comprehensive safety and security features. These microcontrollers are often used in ECUs for hybrid and electric vehicles, body electronics as well as 2D and 3D instrument clusters.
The TRAVEO family embeds dedicated features to increase data security in the car and supports the latest in-car network technologies.
