Is a maintenance contract available and what does it provide?
A maintenance contract is available. It provides support (by phone and e-mail) and updates (including updates requiring a new license).
A maintenance contract from Hitex entitles to participate in the TESSY trainings by Hitex at a reduced price. A maintenance contract from Hitex also grants access to the special Customer Area for TESSY from Hitex.
Is training available?
Training for TESSY is provided by Hitex. Training open for all is provided regularly. To find out about the date of the next open training, see our training section.
Trainings can also be customized according to customer requirements. These can be held directly at the customer's site or online. We have received positive feedback from participants on training courses lasting 5 days with half a day of training each day, as this allows participants to continue working on their day-to-day business or projects. We have also held trainings lasting between one and three days. Please contact us for more details and planning.
Is consulting available?
Consulting for TESSY is provided by Hitex. TESSY consulting enables the participants to become experts in administrating and using TESSY beyond standard training. For details, please contact us.
Are test services available?
Test services using TESSY are provided by Hitex. This includes also other services around the engineering process. More details.
Is a license global?
Yes. If it is technically possible (usually by VPN) you can access a remote TESSY Floating License Server (FLS) from anywhere in the world in order to obtain a TESSY license. E.g. a TESSY user located in India can use a TESSY license from a FLS located in Germany. This is legal, i.e. explicitly allowed by the licensing policy.
Can I check out a floating license?
Yes. From the Floating License Server, a license can be transferred to another PC for a maximum of 30 days. This allows TESSY to be used on a PC not connected to any network. For the license transfer, it is not necessary for the remote PC to have access to the Floating License Server.
Can I rent a license?
No. Renting or leasing of TESSY licenses is not possible.
Can I upgrade from a node-locked license to a floating license?
No. Such an upgrade is currently not availlable.
