From July 7 to July 8, the Cyber Resilience Act Summit took place at the Science Congress Center at Garching near Munich. During the event, there were many presentations on the topic of upcoming CRA requirements and how security by design can be implemented in various industries.
For the field of embedded security, Michael Weiß (Senior Account Manager at Hitex) talked about the implementation of cybersecurity on Armv8-M architecture. Directed at developers, project managers and product experts, we gave recommendations for encryption and key management with Arm-based development.
Important cybersecurity measures for building a secure system include continuous boot integrity protection, validating the system’s security against credible threats as well as lifecycle monitoring.
