Efficient control of sensorless BLDC motors
BLDC motors are increasingly becoming the standard for a wide range of battery and mains-powered devices and systems. They are reliable and require significantly less maintenance than their brushed counterparts.
Infineon's latest innovation, the PSOC Control, is a cutting-edge microcontroller (MCU) family specifically designed for motor control applications. At its core, the PSOC Control features a high-performance, real-time control Arm® Cortex®-M33 processor, which enables advanced motor control capabilities. This MCU family integrates a range of sophisticated real-time control peripherals, allowing designers to significantly enhance the performance of their next-generation motor control products. The PSOC Control is well-suited for a variety of applications, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, home appliances, robotics, power tools, industrial automation, and light electric vehicles.
The PSOC Knowledge Lab 2025 will showcase all the features of the microcontroller family and valuable tips and instructions. In compact presentation slots of just under 15 minutes - followed by time for your questions - the experts from Infineon, EBV, MOTEON and Hitex will bring together everything you need to know!
This starts with the selection of the right BLDC motor, the right components and peripherals, as well as the perfect tools for hardware and software development. The focus will also be on safety and security aspects, be it functional safety or embedded security. In addition to specific tips on professional tools, there will also be a presentation on Arm TrustZone.
We will show and demonstrate (Detailed agenda can be found below!):
- Highlights of the PSOC microcontroller family
- Use cases of the new or improved features
- Availability of tools and software components
- Getting safety and security in your project or application
