AURIX™ Knowledge Lab: Model-Based Development Made Easy

AURIX™ Knowledge Lab: Model-Based Development Made Easy

Hands-on expert knowledge: Download the complete content!

The AURIX™ family of high-performance microcontrollers from Infineon is designed for safety- and security critical applications. It offers powerful processing capabilities, scalability, and integrated safety and security features. Widely used in automotive, industrial, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, it supports demanding tasks such as real-time control and data processing.

Model-based development (MBD) streamlines the development of embedded systems by using visual models, e.g., MATLAB Simulink. It enables simulation, code generation, and testing at an early stage, simplifies workflows, reduces errors, and accelerates timelines for complex systems, like those powered by AURIX microcontrollers.

Welcome and introduction

A brief history of Hitex! Who we are and what we do...

Introduction to SafeTpal

Safety and Security Suite for AURIX: Hitex SafeTpal is your companion for safe and secure applications
Simplify every step of your AURIX TC3xx development process with our expert-backed tools and services.

Drive core and software bundles overview

The shift towards SDVs brings new challenges: a more complex ecosystem makes it harder to find optimal solutions for development requirements. We show how Infineon's Drive Core Bundle portfolio addresses this challenge by simplifying the development process through close collaboration with ecosystem.

Model-based development and virtual ECUs targeting the parallel processing unit

This session presents a case study on sensor-less motor control, showcasing how the algorithm can be effectively implemented using a model-based design approach. Demonstrating how Synopsys Virtual Prototypes for Infineon TC4x microcontrollers enable efficient validation of the implementation within a fully virtual environment.

Model-Based Embedded Software Development using MathWorks HSP

A walk through how MathWorks products enable model-based design (MBD) with Simulink and Embedded Coder, combined with Embedded Coder Hardware Support Package (HSP) for Infineon AURIX™ Microcontrollers, facilitates rapid prototyping, efficient code generation for Multi-core MCUs, and real-time control of complex power electronics

The right compiler for model-based development

We show how HighTec compiler efficiently transform Simulink models into AURIX TC4x binaries for both TriCore and PPU, as shown within the DriveCore AI bundle. It also highlights the unified build flow for all TC4x cores and co-processors, along with detailed documentation and examples designed to shorten the gap from evaluation to production.

Model-based testing on the hardware

The flexible scripting API of the UDE debugger from PLS enables seamless integration of model-based development into hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) setups.
